I have experienced a large number of cruises – more than 80, if I had to guess. I’ve sailed with Royal Caribbean International, Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, MSC Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, and many more.
While each ship offers a unique experience, Celebrity Cruises has launched a new ship, The Celebrity Edge that feels to me like it is straight out of the future, and it is amazing.
With help from design icon Nate Berkus, the interiors of this ship are unlike any other on the water today. Staterooms can open up to the water's edge with the touch of a button. Outside of the staterooms, there are innovative spaces such as the Magic Carpet, a venue that changes mood, function, and even its location on the ship. A kind of moving platform suspended alongside the ship, it can serve as a venue for drinks, entertainment or snacks, or a kind of ramp to make it easy to get on and off the tenders that take you to shore (especially convenient for people with limited mobility or in wheelchairs).
Many of the spaces onboard are designed to change as the sun rises and sets, redefining the experience. The resort-like atmosphere will help you relax by day and transition to elegant and high-energy spaces in the evening. The ship sails both Caribbean and European itineraries so there is something for everyone!
