My love of travel was sparked by my time in the military. For much of my time in the Army, I was stationed in Europe, where I worked in the recreation department. This involved a fair amount of time skiing in the Alps and traveling to cities throughout the continent. During my time off, I explored even more, including a week in Paris and another week in London, both beautiful, cosmopolitan cities full of history and intrigue. 

After leaving the service, I took over my father-in-law’s travel business. Planning trips for my clients brings me joy, especially when I plan family vacations or a client’s dream adventure travel. As someone who was lucky enough to see the Winter Olympics when they were held in Innsbruck, Austria, I know how exciting it can be to experience a once-in-a-lifetime event up close! It helps that I have personal experience with many different types of trips and have ventured around the world with my family. I have gone on photo safaris in the African Serengeti and had the thrill of seeing wildlife thriving in their natural habitats and explored Vietnam’s famous military sites along with its beautiful countryside to learn about the culture.  

The most important thing I’ve learned in my travels is to go with an open mind and be accepting of new experiences. Taking time to understand a new culture can be life-changing.
