With over a decade of experience, I love bringing my clients travel dreams to life. I fell in love with traveling when I met my husband, who grew up traveling a lot. For the first six years of our marriage, we traveled all over the world together and as our family grew, we brought our daughter and son along with us. My business partner Sarah and I started Compass + Twine in 2015 over a shared love of traveling and planning travel for others; together Sarah and I have explored so many amazing places and have met the challenge of planning all kinds of trips for clients, from an epic month month long Italian honeymoon and last minute Alaskan adventures to road trips across Morocco and solo travels to Ireland. It brings me such joy to hear a clients vision for a trip and to find a way to make reality even better. I love to plan group trips, family vacations, honeymoons, or couples getaways for my clients because I know with my experience, I can take the stress of planning away, allowing them to arrive, enjoy, and have the experience of a lifetime.

Incredible Barcelona Trip
We recently worked with Lindsay at Compass & Twine to plan a summer vacation in Europe, and she did an absolutely phenomenal job. She helped us organize a fantastic week in Barcelona followed by a relaxing weekend in Sitges, and the entire trip was seamless from start to finish.
In Barcelona, the itinerary struck a perfect balance between iconic landmarks—like the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and other must-see sights—and more local, off-the-beaten-path experiences that gave us a real feel for the city. Every day was thoughtfully planned, with just the right mix of activity and downtime.
Sitges was the ideal way to wrap up the trip. Our weekend there was relaxing and beautiful, and it felt like a well-earned change of pace after the vibrant energy of Barcelona.
Overall, we felt like we got to truly experience each city rather than just pass through, and that’s thanks to the care and detail that Lindsay & the Compass + Twine team put into planning everything. We couldn’t recommend Co

The Trip of a Lifetime
I had often dreamed of a trip to Italy before actually arriving there for my trip of a lifetime planned start to finish by Lindsay. After a brief conversation sharing my hopes for this trip, Lindsay took what were dreams and turned them into reality. She not only arranged tours of Rome, Tuscany, Positano and Capri but made reservations at lovely Italian eateries, transportation in each city, cooking classes, winery and Vatican tours and a private boat tour to Capri. The trip was truely more than I could have hoped for and I owe it to Lindsay for understanding my vision and making my dreams reality!

Best girls trip
Lindsay planned the most unforgettable girls trip to Napa Valley. From the flights, rental car, and hotel to the winery tours and lunch and dinner reservations, she thought of everything! Lindsay was extremely knowledgeable about the area and local hot spots, providing us with an experience we wouldn’t have been able to plan on our own. She was very organized and responsive throughout the entire process. I will definitely be using Lindsay to plan trips from now on!!

Dream Italy Trip

Trip of a Lifetime
Had the trip of of lifetime thanks to the help of Compass & Twine! From trip planning to activities to restaurant suggestions, we were able to enjoy a truly stress free vacation. Bucket list -Bourbon Trail

3024 travel
We were fortunate to have Lindsay Ridenour arrange two trips for us in 2024. The first was an incredible three week vacation in Italy. We traveled from Nashville to Rome, then to Maiori (on the Amalfi coast), then to Monopoli and Fasano (in the Puglia region) on the East coast. Lindsay’s planning far exceeded our expectations in every way. Our hotel accommodations, the outstanding restaurants, the tours, and all the different forms of travel, from plane, train, and private car were all perfect.
Our second trip in 2024 was to Cancun Mexico. Our hotel, restaurants, and travel again far exceeded our expectations. A beautiful trip!
We were so impressed by the professionalism of Lindsay’s planning and execution of everything that we will always look to her as our travel pro. We look forward to using her for all of our future adventures. Thanks to Lindsay our 2024 travel was definitely our best year yet!

Our favorite planners
Sarah & Lindsay (Compass + Twine) have planned my family's vacations now for 5 years - from weekends in Mexico to summers in Greece. They find and plan so many experiences that I would have never found on my own. They create a truly unparalleled travel experience. Traveling with kids, I've also loved the upgrades they've often been able to secure. Sarah + Lindsay are so easy and fun to work with. Just love them - a great team!

Great Honeymoon!
We used Compass and Twine (Lindsay + Sarah) for a complete honeymoon getaway to St Barths. They booked our flights, accommodations, lunch/dinner reservations, and a spa day. Our favorite part was the itinerary - we woke up each morning to a new adventure! Our itinerary listed our planned activities for the day along with suggestions for many other things to do around the island.
