I recently had the pleasure of exploring the enchanting landscapes and rich history of Spain on an educational trip. From ancient cities to vibrant modern metropolises, Spain offers a tapestry of experiences that I am excited to share with you.
My journey began in Toledo, one of the oldest cities in Europe and a former capital of Spain. This walled city retains its medieval charm, with narrow cobblestone streets and historic buildings that transport you back in time.
In Madrid, I immersed myself in the cultural heart of Spain. A visit to the Prado Museum revealed masterpieces by Goya and Velázquez, followed by a tour of the Royal Palace where Spain’s King and Queen entertain dignitaries from around the world. Madrid's vibrant energy and rich history make it a must-visit destination.
In Barcelona, a city of architectural wonders, I marveled at Gaudi’s creations, including La Sagrada de Familia and La Pereda or Milo House. I took a trip back in time to the Gothic quarter and El Born, went for a run along the marina and visited one of Barcelona’s first Speakeasys!
Cordoba offered a unique experience as we took an owner-hosted tour of a beautifully restored castle from the 1500s. In Seville I was able to visit the magnificent Alcazar Palace, where Ferdinand and Isabella once lived. The Adalusian countryside boasted breathtaking views and a visit to an Andalusian stud farm where magnificent horses are bred and trained.
Throughout the trip we enjoyed stays at luxury boutique hotels and countryside villas, marveled at the stunning architecture, learned about the extensive Moorish, Christian and Jewish history throughout the country, and enjoyed the incredible cuisine recommended by locals.
I would be delighted to arrange a similar unforgettable journey for you, tailored to your preferences and interests.
