Danielle Rouviere

I work closely with my mom, who has been in the business for over 30 years. So I've grown up around the travel business and have been travelling since before I can remember. I've also gotten to see how the business has evolved over the years.

My first vivid trip memory was going to London when I was 8 years old with my mom. I never wanted to leave, and decided from that point on that would move abroad. I had the opportunity to do so for the first time when I was in college. I did a study abroad program in Leeds, England and again didn't want to come home. I extended my trip several times and declared that I would move to the UK when I finished school.

A month after I finished my degree I hopped on a plane and moved to London. It was one of the best years of my life. I made friends from many different countries and of course visited their hometowns whenever I could. And that's when my obsession with Spain started. I moved there about a year later to teach English and now am back stateside but I could not give up my favorite part of life—travel—so I decided to get into the business!

I've arranged most of my own travel for the last few years and it really is a treat! I love creating special itineraries and hand-picking every aspect, which is why I call myself a "travel curator". It really is what I love to do.

LGBTQ Travel

I have many friends that belong to the LGBTQ community, so it’s always been a big part of my life. When I’m exploring new places, I like to find areas that are very tolerant because it really makes for a safer and more welcoming atmosphere for all travelers. Of course there are cities known to have large LGBTQ communities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco or Miami. But did you know that Sao Paulo, Brazil has one of the largest LGBTQ populations in the world? Or that Seoul, South Korea has a vibrant community as well? There are so many places around the world that embrace this community, which is absolutely beautiful and I would love to share my knowledge with you!
