Sara Goldberg

I have been working in the travel industry for 35 years. I was raised in Mexico, but moved to California 15 years ago and became an American citizen. I love everything about travel, and there is nothing more rewarding than helping others experience more of the world!

I consider myself to be a perfectionist and avid researcher. I love the thrill of learning and discovering what I don't know - especially when that information relates to travel. The world is a big place, and the best way to research the world is to explore it! I travel frequently, and although I am happy to plan experiences and book travel anywhere in the world - my favorite destinations to recommend to clients are generally the ones I've most recently explored. Some of my most recent travels have taken me to Italy, Croatia, and Vietnam.

Before I began working in the travel industry, I first got my start in education working as a secretary at a school in Mexico. It was during this time that I was also studying to become a Jewish history teacher. I also began booking flights and hotels for my friends in my spare time.

While working in education, I recognized that my love of history and teaching could only enrich my career in travel. This realization is what encouraged me to eventually make the decision to transition into working as a full-time travel agent at the first-ever Virtuoso travel agency in Mexico City. Since then, I have worked in a number of agencies, but always enjoy recommending Virtuoso properties to my clients.

My motto is to never give up and to always provide the best experience possible for my clients. Quite simply: I love designing trips for my clients where they can get away and enjoy doing the things they like to do in the places they want to go.
