As a Certified Travel Consultant (CTC), I tap into my experience, training, extensive network of contacts and professional affiliations to save you time and money while arranging the best trip for your specific interests and preferences. I pride myself on providing the highest level of service, from airline seat assignments to fully-integrated, seamless itineraries. As your travel agent, I care deeply about your journey. I listen carefully to you to ensure that your trip is what you want and watch your pocketbook as I would my own.
Thanks to my affiliation with Protravel International, one of the biggest and most highly-regarded agencies in the country and a member of the prestigious Virtuoso travel consortium, I can provide you with value-added amenities such as food and spa credits, complimentary Wi-Fi, early check-in and other extras in top hotels around the world.
My Rolodex of contacts also means that I know the right people and carefully vetted suppliers in every corner of the globe to tailor your trip to your interests. Do you want hard-to-arrange theatre tickets or have special dietary requirements? Would you like to fly in a private jet or be met at the airport? How about a private visit to a normally crowded museum or a backstage tour of a renowned theater? If you can dream of it, I can probably arrange it.
I often encourage clients to think outside the box. For example, while people crowd into Versailles, the equally grand Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte, the inspiration for Versailles, is far less crowded. Built by the finance minister to Louis XIV, it invites children to dress in period costume while guides give them a kid’s eye view of 17th-century life, while evenings bring romantic candle-lit dinners and concerts.
In Morocco, I often suggest a cooking class with a chef who relates the history and the ceremonies around the dishes you cook, while in China, I can arrange a private lunch on the Great Wall in an area that is not open to tourists. I also have arranged Jewish history tours in Shanghai and Germany and other special interest programs.
Private guides can greatly enhance a trip and provide flexibility fixed tours cannot. On a Seabourn cruise, on a private excursion for our group of 12 in Valencia, Spain, we asked if we could add a visit to the unusual Museum of the Fires. A phone call from our guide and there we were with a docent describing the Carnival-style Valencia Fire Festival where every year, large whimsical paper-mache and wood sculptures are celebrated and then burnt. The museum houses the one sculpture that the crowd votes to spare each year.
I love that my volunteer work at the Scripps Cancer Center sometimes intersects with travel. As a two-time cancer survivor, cancer has been a part of my life experience. I have been volunteering there since 2002. I have met wonderful people at Scripps and last year, I chaired a live auction that—thanks in part to donations from travel suppliers—raised $2.2 million. I also arranged a dream trip for a family whose child was undergoing chemotherapy.
Whatever your reason to travel, I would love to create a trip uniquely designed for your preferences and dreams. My greatest joy is making people happy and having them return to tell me that their trip was exactly what they were looking for and more. Where would you like to go next?
