Ann Bass
Wherever I send my clients around the world, I want to make sure they get to experience both 5-star luxury but also a sense of place. For this reason, I prefer unique and special resorts over hotels that are generic and look like they could be anywhere.
THE PERSONAL TOUCH
Above all, I am always looking for new and gorgeous resorts. I will read about a new destination in a magazine and then I will go there myself first before I would recommend it to my clients. I also draw on the vast firsthand experience of my Protravel colleagues to research every property. This is one of the reasons my loyal clients trust me with their precious vacation time.
VIP ACCESS
And because of Protravel's global reputation and the top luxury travel agency, our access to exclusive amenities and my own long time personal connections with Hoteliers, Resort Managers, Concierges, Guides, Drivers and Tour operators, my clients are ALWAYS treated as VIPs wherever they go. Pwrks I get for my client (that they would never be able to procure on their own) include room upgrades, resort credits, complimentary wi-fi and breakfast and much more.
SOME OF MY FAVORITES
In the Caribbean, I love St Barths, Aguilla and Turks & Caicos and I have a long list of fabulous resorts that my clients return to year after year and never disappoint. These include Cap Juluca, Eden Roc, Cheval Blanc, Guanahani, Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort, and Como Parrot Cay.
In Mexico, among my favorite resorts for beauty, authenticity and cuisine where I can provide my clients with exclusive VIP perks are: One&Only Palmilla, Las Ventanas, La Maroma, Esencia Riviera Maya, The Resort at Pedregal and Imanta Puta Mita.
In Greece, my clients have loved Amanzoe and Four Seasons.
In France, I send clients to Château de la Messardière in St Tropez, La Reserve hotels & spas and of course, the Manadrin Oriental Paris.
In Southeast Asia, you can't get better than the Aman Resorts in Cambodia, Indonsesia and Vietnam.
In Turkey, I recommend Amanruya, Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, Hotel Argos in Cappadocia and the Four Seasons.
In South America, Belmond (formerly Orient-Express) has the most exquisite properties in Brazil and Peru.
