I started in this profession in 1985 as an assistant to an agent whom specialized in entertainment travel...primarily rock acts, jazz & classical musicians and dance companies. I actually lived in and worked from New Orleans for 3 to 5 months of the year from 1985-1990 as I was the lead agent for making travel arrangements for the entertainers brought in to perform at the various music and cultural festivals held in the city. I branched out and became an independent lead agent in 1990 and have continued expanding my knowledge base ever since! I actually do continue to work with several renowned jazz and classical musicians as I do love this facet of entertainment travel. And I visit the "Big Easy" as often as I can...my 'home away from home'. I now primarily, though definitely not exclusively, handle corporate executive travel, in that I work with high-end corporate executives on both their business travel and their personal vacation travel. I have also been on 41 cruises during my career and happily continue to work with clients to send them on the 'cruises of their dreams"...from the premium mega-ships to the smaller, more intimate luxury lines, river cruises and expedition sailings.
