Unlike leisure trips, which are usually planned and anticipated for months and even years, corporate travel often comes up at a moment’s notice, and it’s my job to make it happen. This is especially true in the arenas of fashion, photography and entertainment where many of my clients work. Having served as a travel planner for VIP celebrities and Fortune 100 executives, I understand—and I have the experience and connections to make all the pieces fall into place.
Often I lay out every detail of a trip months in advance, only to get a call 72 hours before departure that the destination has been changed. Taking high stress situations like this in stride gracefully and moving forward quickly and methodically is all in a day’s work.
II think through your trip every step of the way so it goes as smoothly as possible, and will jump on a call when the unexpected snowstorm cancels all flights so you can get back on track. Being extremely detail oriented, I go through my checklist to ensure that all goes smoothly and you are well taken care of.
A corporate client who travels with their dog all the time, has asked me to secure a letter from the manager of each hotel they stay at in advance welcoming them and their dog. With that letter in hand, they are confident their dog won’t be turned away.
For other travelers, comfort means arranging for them to be whisked through security, or maybe even met on the tarmac so they can avoid the hassles of moving through an airport.
I usually do more than book flights and hotels. I like to extend myself as a concierge because in addition to ensuring that you get your travel needs met, I can help you become familiar with the destinations you are going to and prepare you for the cultures you will encounter. I also often can snag reservations in the best restaurants and obtain theatre tickets to sold-out shows.
For me, it’s all about getting to know what you like and how you like to travel, and making your travels as seamless and comfortable as possible.
